👮 Communication is the Key
👮 Communication is the Key
The current youth exchange started at the initiative of Lungu Andrei from "Ştefan cel Mare" Police Academy from Republic on Moldova. from Chișinău. Our project emerges in a turbulent geopolitical context, where the Russo-Ukrainian War is producing effects worldwide but with immediate impact on the neighbouring countries Romania and Republic of Moldova. In such times, the voice of the civil society is of the utmost importance. In this context we invite 40 youth aged 19-26, all student to police academies in RO and MD to emerge in an unique nonformal learning experience aimed to boost their intercultural awareness and communication competencies.
The young participants currently have limited experience in Erasmus+ and have only studied communication formally in their academies, for most of them this is the very first Youth Exchange, and are showing interest and curiosity about Erasmus+ opportunities and its priorities. We designed together with our young participants the current YE to respond to their needs to enhance their communication competencies, to create non-judgemental contexts for expressing their ideas, opinions and thoughts without being afraid or restricted and to interact and exchange opinions, thoughts, emotions with their peers from the other culture.
The aim of this Youth Exchange is to empower our young participants to explore different communication techniques and methodologies in making their voice heard. A very important feature of our youth exchange is the focus on non-violent communication methodology. Communication is the Key will take place in Izvoare, Harghita, Romania between 27.10-04.11.2023.
O1. Empower the participants to explore Erasmus+, intercultural dialogue and capacitate them to develop their 8 key competencies.
O2. Improve our participants’ communication capacity and raise their awareness with regards to the importance of nonviolent communication.

We envisage to reunite 40 young participants aged 19-26 years old from Romania and Republic of Moldova, all cadets at the Police Academies from Chișinău and Bucharest. We consider that nonviolent communication is crucial for their development and the context of the Ruso-Ukrainian war gives enhanced legitimacy to our project.
