Art of Social Innovators was the third mobility part of the accreditation project for 2022. It was a youth exchange which aimed to reunite 35 young people and 4 group leaders from Romania, Portugal, Spain and Greece to focus on the topic of circular economy and social innovation.
The specific objectives were:
Use nonformal learning methods to empower young people to explore the topic of circular economy and social entrepreneurship.
Develop the eight key competences of the young participants
Improve English and intercultural competences.
The youth exchange took place between 15 and 23 of August in Curteni, a small town which lies in the heart of Transylvania. It is surrounded by the beautiful Transylvanian plain and provides a breathtaking view of nature. It represented the perfect place to connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the place.
During 7 days of activities, we discovered what exactly social entrepreneurship and circular economy mean, we got to know each other very well built some awesome friendships.
In the first part of the youth exchange, we broke the ice and had some really fun name games along with energizers and session about Erasmus+ and the use of the Youthpass certificate.
In the following days we learned how to start a business from idea, name, motto to planning and structure. We had many activities in teams and we simulated the creation of a real business, which was very exciting because many of us haven’t really thought about a career in entrepreneurship until that moment. By using the persona canvas, we managed to get a better understanding of the entrepreneurship filed and learned how to create a business plan by analyzing strong points, the weak ones, and the opportunities each of the team members have.
We also had activities about Value Proposition Canvas, a tool to help us help us ensure that there is a fit between the product that we thought about and market.
In the last days we had a cultural visit in Sighisoara, where we had some fun tasks to and get to know the city and the people.
