A1-YE-Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges emerges in a post Covid-19 context when the interaction limits were lifted and we bring together young people from different cultures to connect with each other, hug and involve fully without any restrictions in nonformal learning activities. The mobility is initiated at the request of young people we and our partners work with and is intended to empower them to actively involve in all its stages. The young participants currently have limited experience in E+, for most of them this is the first YE, and are showing interest and curiosity about E+ opportunities and its priorities. We designed together with the young participants the current YE to respond to their needs to participate in a safe international mobility, to express their ideas, opinions and thoughts without being afraid or restricted and to interact and exchange opinions, thoughts, emotions with their peers from other cultures.
O1. Empower the participants to explore the priorities of Erasmus+ in a nonformal learning context, and capacitate them to develop their 8 key competencies.
O2. Improve our capacity, as well as the capacity of our partners to align to the E+ quality standards, organize quality and meaningful YEs for the young people we work with empower our staff, volunteers and collaborators to provide quality youth work.
The aim of this youth exchange is to inspire European values such as inclusion, diversity and solidarity to young people aged 15-19 years old from RO, CZ, SK and HU, by making full use of participative and collaborative nonformal learning activities. The youth exchange took place in Izvoare, HR, RO, and its activity days were: 11-20/03/2023.
Our mobility O1 is correlated with our accreditation Objective 1 by creating quality nonformal learning contexts for youth, especially youth facing fewer opportunities, and by empowering them to explore European values such as inclusion, diversity and solidarity and the four key priorities of the E+ programme: Inclusion and diversity, Environmental sustainability, Digital transformation in the field of youth and Participation and civic engagement.
Our mobility O2 is correlated with our accreditation Objective 4, our mobility contributing to the empowering of our partners to organise quality nonformal learning activities, as well as to increase our quality standards and better promote E+ opportunities and priorities. Specifically, our mobility O2 contributes also to our accreditation Objective 2 in providing an excellent learning by doing context for our and our partners’ youth workers in improving and learning new relevant activities for their daily work.
Our mobility contributes to all E+ priorities since each national group is assigned to cover in a full activity day one of the four priorities, in 4 sessions of 90 min, using participative and collaborative nonformal learning tools.
Inclusion and diversity – more than 80% of our participants are facing fewer opportunities, and we have in place measures such as consolidated mentorship and support, specialised staff, extended time for reflection and internalisation of learning outcomes.
Environmental sustainability – for this mobility we use only green transport for all participants and staff and we use an accommodation, Irgo Complex, that uses selective garbage collection, solar panels, and has in place a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle waste policy.
Digital transformation – our mobility is a blended mobility with thematic and logistic preparatory activities as well as follow-up activities conducted via digital collaboration tools.
Participation and civic engagement – our participants are involved in all phases of the project, design and implement activities and explore European values and the priorities of Erasmus+.
47 young people facing fewer opportunities aged 15-19 years old from RO, CZ, SK and HU coordinated by 6 group leaders and a skilled facilitator.

During our workshop, we’ve pointed out the main importance of the ERASMUS project along with some other aspects such as the Youthpass and the fun we had. Also, the relevance of getting over social anxiety and how everything related to the project encouraged that by indirect or direct means was also thoroughly mentioned. We started, first of all, with the promotional video in order to visually present what kind of activities we had and what kind of learning methods were used. Then we focused on catching the audience’s attention in order to create an impact and make them understand everything that happened overall.
Group 2
In our dissemination project we tried to present a little bit the Erasmus+ Project, the Youthpass, and the importance of participating in these kind of experiences. Also, by making an energizer, showing some photos and sharing some of the stories, we presented the amazing time that we spent in Harghita.

On March 27, we did our first workshop. We started with the energizer ´If I had a bunny, I would...´. The students really enjoyed it. We also involved ´Marco Polo rule´ during the entire duration of the workshop. Than we told them about our stay in Romania. We described how our days had looked there, what had we done, etc. We also told them about Youthpass – what it is and what it is good for. At the end, we showed them a short video that is on Youtube.
Group 2
Around 40 people participated in our workshop. First we showed them the energizer – (HI HA HU) and then we went to a presentation in which we talked about the whole course of Erasmus. We explained to them what Youthpass is and what it is good for, and we showed them some photos and videos. At the end we advised them how to get into projects like this one and shared with them social networks that they can follow.
